A Message from Sheriff Judd

Sheriff Grady Judd

Dear Parent(s) / Guardian(s) :

As your Sheriff, I believe that substance abuse and violence are destroying our society. That is why we, at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office created the S.A.V.E. program which stands for Substance Abuse and Violence Education.

For ten weeks, your child will participate in a program designed to educate them on the dangers of drug use, gang activity, and violence. A specially trained Deputy will provide alternatives to the problems your child faces everyday in his/her life. This will enable them to make the right decisions.

During this program we encourage family participation. You as a parent / guardian should discuss with your child what he/she has learned in the S.A.V.E. program each week. This team effort will help enhance the ideas and goals as presented by the program.

After the successful completion of this program, your child will participate in a graduation ceremony. You, as a proud parent / guardian, are invited to attend this exercise.

The students of today are our leaders of tomorrow. To ensure we have a tomorrow, we must eliminate these dangers that can destroy their future. Join us in taking a stand against the use of drugs and violence. Together, we will make a difference.

Sheriff, Polk County

P.S. Through this partnership we can begin to SAVE our students, schools, and society.
