On 11/10/86, at 11:30 p.m., the victim was shot and severely beaten by an unknown W/M during an attempted armed robbery at the Red Barn Restaurant, located at 6150 New Tampa Hwy., Lakeland. The victim and his wife were closing up the restaurant when the suspect entered and demanded money. The victim and his wife struggled over the gun with the suspect and the victim was shot. The victim died at Tampa General on 11/14/86.
