On March 24, 1987, Karen Watson, 41, was found murdered inside her residence, located in between Lake Alfred and Polk City. The crime scene was located about one mile from Interstate 4. The victim was found on her living room couch and had been stabbed several times. The victim was brutally murdered between 12:15 p.m. and 1:00 p.m and was found by her husband when he returned home from running a business errand.  She was the mother of three sons.
