Emergency Communications Center
ECC is responsible for receiving and processing emergency and non-emergency calls for service. ECC is responsible for dispatching a deputy (when a call for assistance is received) and providing information to the deputy when he/she is in the field. The agency and state certified training that our Telecommunicators receive is essential to job performance. The training helps them to assess a situation, obtain pertinent information needed for call processing and dispatch the appropriate resources in a timely manner.
During 2007, there were a total of 730,783 service transactions processed, which includes both emergency and non-emergency calls.
