Administrative Squad is made up of the Warrants Office Supervisor and seven civilian members assigned to specific functions as follows: Extradition Coordinator, arranges inmate transportation to and from Florida. Intrastate Transportation and DRD Specialist, arranges transportation within the state of Florida on subjects arrested on Polk County charges. The member also is responsible for entering and maintaining Domestic Relations Depository (non-support) warrants. Juvenile and Withdrawal Specialist, enters and maintains Juvenile Pick Up Orders and is responsible for the timely removal of warrants withdrawn by authority of the Court or of the State Attorney. Warrants Specialists (3), who are responsible for the entry, confirmation, validation, and removal of warrants from the FCIC/NCIC system. The Warrants Specialists are also responsible for the entry and maintenance of Probable Cause Arrest Entries into FCIC/NCIC. Part Time File Clerk, jackets and files all warrants entered into the PCSO and FCIC/NCIC systems. The file clerk also makes distribution on investigative copies of warrants to detectives and generates "mail-out" letters on certain misdemeanor and traffic warrants as determined by the Warrants Unit Sergeant or Administrative Detective.
Crime Information Center: is the former telecommunications teletype unit. This squad is also under the control of the Warrants Office Supervisor and is compromised of four teams. Each team ideally has a Team Leader and two CIC Specialists working rotating 12 hour shifts to ensure 24 hour service. Duties are to include, but are not limited to entering: stolen guns, stolen articles, stolen tags, stolen vehicles, stolen vessels, impounded vehicles, impounded vessels, impounded aircraft, and missing persons. CIC Specialists compose and enter BOLOs, and also complete FCIC/NCIC wanted inquires, DL and vehicle registration checks for field units via radio.
