Education:

  • Kathleen High School, Lakeland, Florida– Graduated 1985
  • University of Central Florida – Received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration with an Accounting Major - 1989
  • Troy University – Received Masters Degree in Public Administration in 2005

Professional Experience:

  • 1989-1996 Worked in public accounting at 3 area firms – most recently Nunez, Collins & Touchton – duties included preparing tax returns for corporate, personal and not-for-profit organizations, auditing of governmental and not-for-profit agencies and preparation of financial statements for a variety of clients.
  • 1996–2004 Finance Bureau Deputy Director at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office
    Oversaw payroll and accounts payable functions as well as finance, grant, cash management and budgeting and accounting issues for an over $104 million constitutional office.
  • January 2005 Promoted to current position
