Important message from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Section advising residents on Thursday, January 12th 2012 a raccoon was impounded from the 4800 Block of Elam Road in Lakeland. The raccoon was confirmed positive for rabies from the State Laboratory today, January 19th 2012.   So, please ensure your pets are currently vaccinated for rabies; and report any suspicious acting animals to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Section at 863-499-2600.

Urgent message from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office requesting your assistance with locating a missing and endangered person.  The person’s name is:  Robin Farmer.  She is a white, female, 5 feet 1 inch tall, and weighs approximately 115 pounds.  She was last seen wearing a black tank top, blue jeans, and possibly carrying a green book bag.  She may have an injury to her right arm.  Anyone with information is requested to contact Deputy Collins at 863-860-6094.

Sex predator notification from the Polk County Sheriffs Office advising residents of a predator’s location.  The sexual predator’s name is FREDERICK KEITH WILSON, WM, 53-yoa and will be living at 1140 McCampbell Road, Lot 3, Auburndale, Florida. All households are asked to place their trash by the curb no later than 10 a.m. for this one day large scale event. This “special” pick-up is to dispose of items not generally collected on your regular garbage day such as remodeling & household construction debris, drywall, wood, fencing, cabinets etc. NO hazardous waste will be collected. Also, recycle your old tires/free of charge at the Restoration Family Church located at 3330 Skyview Drive from 8-12 on this date. Suspects are entering homes by punching through the glass on the side of the front door, then unlocking from within.
