Saturday-10/22/16 Curbside Clean-up & Tire Recycling events...8-12 noon 

News Story

Polk County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with Keep Polk County Beautiful, and the Board of County Commissioners brings their “Clean It Up to Green It Up” program to the  Bradley, Pierce & Homeland Communities, with continued focus on reducing the Zika Virus, this Saturday, October 22nd, 2016. This program will provide disposal of items that are NOT generally collected with their residential garbage such as remodeling & household construction debris, shingles, drywall, etc. on THIS DAY ONLY for Polk County residents (City of Lakeland residents ARE NOT included in this cleanup).  All households are asked to place these items by the curb no later than 8 a.m., And absolutely NO tires or hazardous waste will be collected at curbside. Residents of Bradley & Pierce may dispose of their unused tires at the Old COPS Station Across from the 7-Star at 6940 Main Avenue in Bradley from 8 am-12 noon this coming Saturday only.  In addition, a FREE PUBLIC tire recycling drop off will be held in conjunction with the Polk County’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event from 8 a.m.-12 noon this Saturday, October 22nd at the Bartow High School, please enter via East Georgia Street.  For Tire Recycling limits and additional information or questions, contact Keep Polk County Beautiful at (863) 875-8911 before these events.
