The Polk County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with the Board of County Commissioners and Keep Polk County Beautiful, Inc. brings their “Clean It Up to Green It Up” Program to unincorporated Lake Hamilton, Dundee & Waverly Communities this upcoming Saturday, January 14th. The program provides for disposal of items that are NOT generally collected with your regular residential garbage such as remodeling & household construction debris (shingles, drywall, etc.) on THIS DAY ONLY for Polk County Residents (City of Lakeland Residents are not included in this Cleanup). All households are asked place these items by the curb no later than 8 a.m., and absolutely NO tires or hazardous waste will be collected curbside.
Please NOTE: Residents within the City Limits of Lake Hamilton & Dundee may dispose of their remodeling & construction debris at the vacant lot just north of the Lake Hamilton Park from 8-12 noon on this Saturday, January 14th.
In addition to curbside cleanup, a free PUBLIC tire recycling drop off will be held at the vacant lot just North of the Lake Hamilton Park on North 2nd Street from 8-12-noon. This event is in conjunction with Polk County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event. For Tire Recycling Limits, questions and other information, contact Keep Polk County Beautiful, Inc. at (863) 875-8911.
