Seeking Public's Assistance with area burglaries
News Story
The Polk County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public’s assistance with several burglaries that have occurred in the Haines City areas of Grenelefe and Lake Marion. During these burglaries, items taken were personal identification items, bankcards and other miscellaneous items. The Sheriff’s Office is encouraging you to secure your property and keep belongings out of plain sight. By keeping your home and vehicles secured, you greatly reduce your chances of becoming a crime victim. Please report suspicious persons, vehicles and activity to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office by calling 863-298-6200. Should you have information on the recent burglaries call Polk County Detective Abbatoy at 863-678-4115. If you want to remain anonymous & eligible for a reward, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-8477.
