Seeking Information from Public regarding recent burglaries around the canal area
News Story
The Polk County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public’s assistance with recent burglaries around the canal area of the Lake Shore Community between September 30th at 6 p.m. and October 1st at 12-noon. Unknown subjects entered the victims’ boat and removed fishing tackle to include, two black rods with Shimano reels and a blue/white colored tackle box with miscellaneous fishing tackle. If you have information on this incident, please contact the Detective Abbatoy at 863-287-7157 or 863-678-4115. Should you want to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-8477 and you may be eligible for a cash reward. As a reminder, please keep your home, vehicles and property secured when unattended; and thank you for your assistance with our investigation.
