One of Polk County's "Top Five Most Wanted" fugitives was arrested this morning, Friday, September 10, 2004, by law enforcement officers from the HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) Task Force.
Quintin Hall Woody, DOB 6/5/68, of 3715 Hopewell Avenue in Lakeland, was arrested at that residence this morning on outstanding warrants for Lewd Act in the Presence of a Child, Driving While License Suspended, Possession of Cannabis, and Possession of Paraphernalia. He additionally was charged with Possession of an Altered Driver's License, Failure to Register as a Sexual Offender, and Non-payment of Child Support.
Woody eluded authorities when he obtained a driver's license and a job using his brother's identity. HIDTA detectives received information that Woody was living in Lakeland under an assumed name. They waited outside the residence this morning and apprehended Woody as he was leaving for work at a construction job in Palmetto. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Polk County Jail on no bond.
