 Missing 11 Year Old 


The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking for
the community’s help in locating a missing 11
year-old girl.
At approximately 6:30 pm, last night, Thursday,
November 1, 2007, Latara Lavigne, DOB
3/14/1996, 1945 W. Highland Street, Lakeland,
was visiting with her grandmother, Ruth
Lavigne, 1947 W. Highland Street, when she
told her grandmother that she would “be right
back.” Latara never retuned.
The residence is a duplex and Latara frequently
visits with her grandmother. Latara is
approximately 5’ 2” tall, and weighs
approximately 130 pounds, has black hair and
brown eyes. Latara was last seen wearing dark blue jeans which she had
cuffed up to look like Capri pants. She was also wearing a white polo shirt
and carrying a black sweater with sequins on the sleeves. She was
wearing black flip flops.
Detectives have exhausted all leads and are asking that if anyone has any
information on Latara’s whereabouts, or has any information on this case,
