Polk County Crime Stoppers

Sacramento Avelino, of Lakeland, is being sought on charges of Att. First Degree Murder, False Imprisonment and two counts of Aggravated Assault. At approximately 11 p.m. on Sept. 19, 1996, Avelino and his roommate, Faustino Reyes, were involved in an argument at their residence, located at 814 N Swindell Ave., near Lakeland. Following the argument, Reyes was shot once in the face with a small caliber handgun. Avelino then fled from the residence. Reyes was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center and at this time is in stable condition.

Avelino is described as being a Mexican Male, with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5'6" tall and weighs about 160 pounds.

 A reward of up to $1,000 may be awarded for information leading to the arrest or indictment of a suspect or suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact Polk County Crime Stoppers at
