Rodrigo Orrostieta

Polk County Sheriff’s Office, West Region, detectives are seeking information on the shooting deaths of 34-year-old Rodrigo Orrostieta and 32-year-old Raul Armando Trochez. Both men had lived in a labor camp off Pool Branch Road, near Fort Meade.

The two men apparently were shot after they stopped their van to talk to some people who were drinking beer in front of a mobile home off Hutchins Road in the Christmas Tree Mobile Home Park, near the Polk-Hardee County Line.

The bodies of Orrostieta and Trochez were discovered at about 2:20 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, 1996, by an off-duty Bowling Green police officer.
