Polk County Crime Stoppers

Polk County Sheriff's Office, Ridge District, detectives are seeking information on a burglary and grand theft that occurred on Saturday, March 29, 1997, at the Interstate Inn located at 1825 U.S. Highway 27 N, near Davenport.

David S. Crome, 30, of Shawnee, Kansas, reported to deputies he had been staying as a guest at the motel during the last week.

Crome told deputies he had gone to wash some clothing around 2 p.m., and upon returning to his room approximately 45 minutes later he discovered more than $15,000 of television video equipment had been stolen. Crome, an employee of KSHB television, had been on a special assignment covering the Kansas City Royals.

 A reward of up to $1,000 may be awarded for information leading to the arrest or indictment of a suspect or suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact Polk County Crime Stoppers at
