Polk County Crime Stoppers
Polk County Sheriff's Office Agricultural Deputies are investigating the theft of more than 600 young citrus trees which have been stolen from the Frostpoof area since the beginning of this year.

Suspects have entered the groves and either pulled or dug up the recently-planted trees from the ground.

All citrus trees sold commercially within the State of Florida, require a Nursery Stock Inspection tag, and invoice. These items insure the stock is grown in a nursery certified and have been registered through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be awared for information leading to the arrest or indictment of a suspect or suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact Polk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS. Anonymity is Guaranteed!
