An armed robbery suspect, who threatened a clerk at the Cumberland Farms convenience store located at 4033 Dundee Road, near Winter Haven, is being sought by Polk County Sheriffs Office, East Region, homicide detectives. The armed robbery occurred on July 26, 1997, shortly before 11 p.m. The suspect is described as being 6-foot tall weighing about 250 pounds. He is described as being a black male, wearing wire-framed glasses, sandals, cord shorts and a red, purple and white striped short-sleeve shirt. He also had a mustache and/or goatee. A second black male suspect (not pictured) was observed. He is described as being 6-foot tall weighing 280 pounds. Both suspects are believed to be in their mid-20s.
