Polk County Crime Stoppers
Polk County Sheriff's Office, East Region, Ridge District, detectives are seeking information with a criminal mischief and animal cruelty investigation in which a pet goose was found killed and a golf course vandalized.

Sometime during the early morning hours of Saturday, Sept. 20, 1997, a three-year-old pet goose was killed at the Poinciana Golf and Tennis Club, located in eastern Polk County. The goose, who had been cared for by Poinciana employees, was found in a lake with her neck cut. The goose also had a weighted rope tied around her. Several tee markers, hazard markers and the No. 3 flag were found in the lake as well.

 A reward of up to $1,000 may be awarded for information leading to the arrest or indictment of a suspect or suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact Polk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS. Anonymity is Guaranteed!
