Heavy Equipment Thefts
Polk County law enforcement agencies are investigating a string of business burglaries that have occurred in the southwest side of Polk County in the last month. Heavy equipment including welding tools and pressure washers have been stolen during the burglaries. The suspects typically use a stolen box truck to haul away the equipment from the business during the burglaries. A yellow 1994 Penske box truck (tag number HG501Z) stolen from a local business has been used in at least two of the burglaries.
Detectives are seeking information leading to the arrest or indictment of a suspect and/or the recovery of the stolen equipment.
