Suspects Sought in Robbery

Polk County Sheriff's Office Robbery Detectives are seeking to identify two suspects responsible for at least one armed robbery in Polk County and three other armed robberies in Osceola and Orange counties. The Polk County robbery occurred October 1, 1999 at 3:20 a.m. at the Hampton Inn located at 5530 US Highway 27 North in Davenport. The robberies in Osceola and Orange counties occurred at the Holiday Inn off International Drive in Orlando, the Holiday Inn off Highway 192 in Kissimmee and the Days Inn off Highway 192 in Kissimmee. In the Polk County robbery, the suspects entered the hotel lobby and jumped the front counter. The suspects forced the clerk at gunpoint to open the cash register, then tied the clerk up before leaving. The suspect's photograph was captured by a surveillance video camera during one of the armed robberies. The first suspect is described as a black man in his early 20s, 5'4-5'5, 140 pounds with short hair. The second suspect is described as a white male in his late teens to early 20s, 5'11-6'0, 200 pounds with short hair. The black male should be considered armed. The two suspects may be driving a gray 80s model Toyota or Nissan.
