Suspect Sought in Robbery

Photo 1 Photo 2Polk County Sheriff's Office Robbery Detectives are seeking to identify a suspect responsible for a robbery which occurred early this morning. The robbery occurred December 22 at 2:30 a.m. at the Circle K located at 111 West Robson Street in Lakeland. The investigation has revealed the suspect - wearing a blue V-neck type shirt, a black base ball cap, blue jeans and brown and black hiking boots - entered the store, walked behind the counter and placed what appears to be a gun to the back of one of the cashiers. The suspect told a second cashier to empty both registers or he would shoot. The suspect fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash and was last seen in the area of Robson and North Florida Avenue. The suspect's photograph (left) was captured by a surveillance video camera during the armed robbery. He is described as a black male, 6'0 to 6'3, 230 to 250 pounds.
