Polk County Sheriff's Office SAFE Detectives are seeking to identify a suspect believed to be responsible for three sexual batteries that have occurred in Polk County since April. In all three separate attacks, the female victims accepted a ride with the suspect and were then threatened and taken to various orange grove areas where they were sexually battered before being left in the grove. The first two victims (two separate cases) were picked up in the Orange Blossom Trail area of Orlando and taken to an orange grove in the NE area of Polk County. The third victim was picked up in the area of Vets Tavern in Lakeland, and taken to a Polk City orange grove. The suspect was armed with a handgun during at least one of the attacks, and threatened to harm the victims. A composite (left) of the suspect was given by the victims. He is described as a white male, 5'10-6', 225-300 pounds, heavy build, white or gray short and straight hair with a balding spot on the crown, pock-marked cheeks from acne and a scar on the stomach and burn marks on the right hand. He may possibly be driving a 1990-95 small white pick-up truck with diamond plate tool box and magnetic stickers on doors with the word "Hughes" and a partial tag of "TFF."
