Polk County Sheriff's Office Robbery Detectives are seeking to locate an individual after the Aug. 1, 2000 armed robbery of a Circle K located at 4301 New Tampa Highway in Lakeland. At approximately 1:30 a.m. a suspect entered the Circle K with a sawed off shotgun and robbed the clerk of an unidentified amount of cash. The suspect fled the store in a gray sedan and was last seen heading West on Highway 92 in Lakeland. Robbery detectives have recovered the shotgun from a residence in Lakeland and charged Thaddeus McKenzie, DOB 11/23/76, of 910 Hunter Road in Plant City with possession of a short barrel shot gun and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Robbery Detectives are searching for Cedric White who is described as a black male in his early 20s, 5'11, 240 pounds with short hair. His last known address is 804 W 7th St., Apt. A-25 in Lakeland. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
