Polk County Sheriff's Office Homicide Detectives are seeking information in the homicide of a 32-year-old Haines City man whose body was found near railroad tracks in the Haines City area on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001. The body of Juan Manuel Cruz, also known as "Mannie," was found around noon near the railroad tracks located by US 17/92 and Smith Road near Haines City. He had been cut multiple times and had been robbed. He was last seen at approximately 1:45 a.m. early that morning. Anyone with information about the homicide who wishes to remain anonymous and be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward is asked to call Polk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS.
