Polk County Sheriff's Office Robbery Detectives are seeking to locate 4 individuals responsible for a home invasion on Saturday, June 16, 2001. At approximately 4:30 in the morning, four men forced their way into a residence located at 5585 Meadow Glen Ct. in Lakeland. The suspects were armed with baseball bats, large sticks and metal pipes. Once inside the residence, they physically assaulted the homeowner, William Young, DOB 12/5/73, and his friend Paul Yates, DOB 6/16/77. They also took another individual staying at the residence, Jennifer Yates, DOB 6/11/80, against her will from the home. Jennifer was located a short time later at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She had minor lacerations to her head, but was uncooperative on how she obtained them. Sheriff's Office Detectives are looking for Theodore Daugherty, DOB 4/16/1975, of Lakeland and Jason Seawright, DOB 9/29/76 also of Lakeland in connection to the home invasion. Jennifer Yates and Daugherty were previously involved in a relationship together. A description of the other two individuals is not available.
