Missing Girl, Teenage Friend Sought

Polk County Sheriff's Office Detectives are searching for a missing Fort Meade girl who may possibly be in the company of a teenage male companion. Viridiana Garcia, DOB 12/27/91, of 2305 Patty Lane in Fort Meade, was discovered missing by her parents early this morning, Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001. At approximately 1 a.m., the girl's parents woke up upon hearing a vehicle leaving their home at a high rate of speed. Upon checking on their daughter, they discovered she was missing. There were no obvious
signs of foul play at the home. Detectives believe the girl may possibly have left with a teenage male friend, described as a Hispanic male, approximately 16 or 17 years old. The girl is described as looking much older than she is, 4'9, 100 pounds, with black hair and black eyes.

Anyone who has any information about the missing girl's whereabouts, or thinks they may have seen her or the teenage male friend, is asked to call 1-800-226-TIPS. All calls remain completely anonymous!
