Information Sought
in Cattle Theft
A reward of up to $2,000 may be awarded for information leading to
the arrest or indictment of a suspect or suspects. Anyone with information is
asked to contact Polk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS.

Polk County Sheriff's Office Agricultural Detectives are seeking information
about the theft of cattle from a pasture north of CR 640 and east of US 17.
Detectives believe the suspect(s) used a set of portable cow pens to steal up to
10 adult cows and up to 8 yearling calves. The thefts probably occurred sometime
Mar. 18-19. Some of the stolen cows were branded with C-B, but the calves
were not marked. Detectives are requesting assistance in locating possible
suspects responsible for the cattle theft. To contact the Agricultural Unit,
