The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is
investigating a Robbery that occurred on August 28, 2002, at 8:28 p.m.
An unknown black male described as 5’8” and 180 lbs, wearing denim jean
shorts and a white tank top and having chapped lips, entered the Discount
Auto Parts Store, located at 2590 Havendale Blvd in Winter Haven, and
approached the front counter with merchandise. The suspect placed the
merchandise on the counter and acted as if he wanted to make a purchase.
After the teller opened the cash register, the suspect pushed the teller’s
hands away from the register, removed an undisclosed amount of cash , and
fled in an unknown direction.
