Polk County Crime Stoppers
Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives are seeking information about a  robbery in which an 88-year-old man was injured after being slammed against a wall by the suspect. The robbery/assault occurred on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, at the Shady Oak Vineyard business located at 3320 Shady Oak Drive in Lakeland. The suspect pushed the victim's head into a wall in the area of the store's restroom, and then stole the victim's wallet prior to fleeing from the scene. The victim received a cut on the head and a sore hip.  The suspect (sketch to the left) is described as a white male, in mid-30s, 5'7 to 5'8,  with dark wavy hair, wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans.
