detectives are seeking information concerning two white male suspects
driving a red pickup truck committing personal armed robberies in the
Lakeland and Plant City areas.
On November 27, 2002, around 2:00 a.m., a
red 90's model Chevrolet 4x4 extended-cab truck, with amber lights along the
top of the cab, a toolbox in the bed, and possibly chrome running boards
along the bottom, began following the victim's vehicle from Socrum Loop Road
to the victim's house at 1563 Kinsman Way in Lakeland. When the victim
got out of his vehicle at the residence, he heard a male voice yell at him
and then was kicked to the ground. The suspect, described as a white
male, in his late teens or early 20's, with a light-colored mask covering
the lower half of his face, then pointed a black revolver at the victim and
demanded his wallet. When the victim complied, the suspect got into
the driver's seat of the red truck, removed cash from the wallet, and threw
the wallet out of the window as he fled. PCSO detectives have been in contact with Plant City police who say two other robberies by the same suspects occurred in Plant City later that same morning. If you have any information concerning these robberies, please contact Sheriff’s Detective Richard Davis at
(863) 534-6379. |
