Polk County Sheriff's Office Agricultural Detectives are investigating the theft of a power unit from an orange grove in the Fort Meade area. The power unit - described as a Detroit Series 40 with an estimated value of $5,500 - was stolen from a citrus grove located on Asa Lewis Road in Fort Meade sometime between the dates of Dec. 24-26, 2002. The unit, which was being used to power an irrigation well, is owned by Lewis and Durrance Inc. of Fort Meade.  Detectives are requesting assistance in locating possible suspects.
