Polk County Sheriff's Office Ridge District detectives are searching for a suspect wanted for stealing checks, identification and credit cards from a vehicle parked outside a model home in the Tuscan Ridge subdivision in the northeast area of county. The vehicle burglary/theft occurred Dec, 23, 2002. The suspect was later captured on video (see photo) attempting to cash the stolen checks at an Orlando bank. She also has attempted to use the stolen credit cards at a home improvement store in North Lakeland. Detectives believe the suspect possibly could be from the Davenport area. She is described as a white female, approximately 5'6, with sandy blond hair and a mole on left cheek/chin area. She smokes and wears numerous rings. Detectives are seeking information about the possible identity and location of the suspect. Detective Larry Roberts is in charge of the investigation, and can be reached at 534-6291, ext. 112.
