| Polk
County Sheriff’s Office General Crimes detectives are seeking the public’s
help in obtaining information about the theft of two welding machines, with
a total value of over $20,000.
During the evening of
February 17-18, 2003, unknown suspect(s) drove a vehicle through the gates
at Southeastern Construction, Inc. at 1150 Pebbledale Road in Mulberry, and
removed two Red-D-Arc brand portable welding machines that were mounted on
trailers. The suspect(s) appeared to have fled westbound on
Pebbledale Road and then southbound on Old Hwy 37. One of the welding
machines was later recovered abandoned in a pit at IMC Agrico mines in
Mulberry .
The welding machines
are identical in appearance to the photo seen here.
