|Polk County Sheriff's Office Homicide Detectives are
searching for two suspects wanted for their involvement in a homicide early
Sunday morning, March 16, 2003, in which an Auburndale man was shot to death
and three others were injured.
Detectives have obtained warrants and are searching for the following suspects: Jason Reid, DOB 3/27/80, and Aree Spivey, DOB 8/5/74. Reid and Spivey are both charged with one count 1st Degree Murder and two counts Attempted 1st Degree Murder. A third suspect, Patrick Brown, DOB 1/14/68, was charged with Aggravated Battery and turned himself in the next day.
The two suspects are from the Auburndale area, and are wanted for their involvement in the shooting homicide of Eric Lamar Anderson, DOB 1/6/78, of Auburndale, in a parking lot located at the intersection of Combee and US 92 in Lakeland. The suspects and the victims were involved in a confrontation that escalated into the shooting, killing Anderson and injuring three others.
Reid and Spivey are believed to be in Orange County, possibly staying in a hotel in the area of Hwy 192. If you have any information on the whereabouts of these suspects, please contact the Homicide Unit at (863) 534-6379.
