Polk County Sheriff's Office Robbery Detectives are seeking to identify a suspect responsible for a convenience store armed robbery. The armed robbery occurred April 2, 2004, at 10:15 a.m., at the Easy Food Mart located at 4009 Knight Station Road in North Lakeland. During the robbery, the suspect - wearing a floppy hat and armed with a handgun - entered the store and demanded cash from the cashier before fleeing the scene in a white small vehicle, possibly a Ford Escort. The suspect's photograph (left) was captured by a surveillance video camera during the armed robbery. He is described as a white male in his 20s, 5'7 to 5'10, 150-170 pounds, with brown hair and goatee.   Anyone with information about the suspect's possible identity is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 533-0344, or Robbery Detective Richard Davis at 534-6379.
