Polk County Sheriff's Robbery detectives are seeking information about a bank robbery that occurred today at the Wachovia Bank, 6108 North US 98 in Lakeland.

On June 2, 2004, at 1:30 p.m., an unknown white male entered the bank, walked up to a teller, and passed her a note demanding money.  The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
 


The suspect, seen in video surveillance photos, is described as a white male between 25-30 years old, 5'6", 165 lbs., wearing wire-rimmed eyeglasses, with dark hair and a "5 o'clock shadow" beard. He was wearing blue jeans, a red polo shirt, and a blue NewYork Yankees ball cap.
