Polk County Sheriff's Office Robbery detectives are seeking information about an attempted robbery that occurred on June 26, 2004.

At around 2:00 a.m. that morning, the victim was having problems with one of the tires on his vehicle, and pulled into a parking lot located at 408 Old Dixie Hwy in Auburndale. At that time, a white Jeep Cherokee, occupied by four black male suspects wearing T-shirts over their faces, pulled up. One of the suspects got out of the Jeep, armed with a handgun. The victim, in fear for his life, ran westbound on foot. The victim believes the suspects intended to take his vehicle, but could not because it was damaged.
