Polk County Crime Stoppers
Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives are seeking information about a burglary that occurred on Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at the BP Food Store, 2550 Hwy 557 in Polk City.

Around 4:00 a.m., a passer-by called the Sheriff's Office when he saw two black male suspects running from the BP Food Store, wearing masks over their faces. According to the witness, the suspects fled in a maroon Oldsmobile, headed north on Hwy 557. Responding deputies found the glass front door to the business had been broken, and the business had been burglarized.

Similar incidents like this have been occurring during the early morning hours to several businesses in East Polk County over the past month.
