Information Sought: RASH OF BUSINESS BURGLARIES

Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives are seeking information about a continuous rash of business burglaries that are occurring in the Winter Haven area.

Detectives are looking for possibly 2 suspects who are responsible for "smash and grab" style burglaries. The suspect(s) smash the front door/window of the business, remove the cash register drawer, and flee the scene before deputies arrive.

One burglary occurred at the Subway at 1094 Spirit Lake Road, around 1:35 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27th. Video surveillance shows one suspect, wearing long sleeves and a mask, entered through the front door, which he smashed, and took the cash drawer.

Another burglary occurred at the Subway at 2834 Recker Hwy, around 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27th. Video surveillance shows one suspect, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, entered through the front door, which he smashed, and took the cash drawer.
