Polk County Crime Stoppers


Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives are seeking information in an attempted burglary that occurred early this morning in the Lakeland area.

Deputies responded to a burglary alarm at 4:30 a.m. at the Marathon Food Mart, located at 1950 Drane Field Road in Lakeland.  The suspects, who had fled prior to the arrival of deputies, are described as 2 white males, possibly in their 30s or 40s, of medium height and build. Prior to fleeing, they had unsuccessfully attempted to break into the front door of the store using a sledge hammer.
