Polk County Sheriff's Office Robbery detectives are seeking information about an armed robbery that occurred on January 17, 2005.

At 6:15 p.m. that evening, the victim exited the city bus at Ariana Blvd. and Southern Ave. in Lakeland and began walking west to the Vive Convenience Store. Approximately 50 yards west of the intersection, he was approached by an unknown black male suspect walking east. The suspect pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at the victim, demanding money. The suspect then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20's, 5'6", medium build, with a small thin mustache and a large diamond-like earring in his left ear. He was wearing a black knit stocking cap, black sweatshirt, and black baggy pants.
