Polk County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are searching for homicide suspect wanted for the murder of Kelvin Powell and the attempted murder of Jackie Powell that occurred on Saturday, August 27, 2005, at 1038 North Davis Avenue in Lakeland.

Timothy McElrath, DOB 12/12/1968, whose last know address is 2418 Exchange Avenue in Lakeland, has a warrant for his arrest for 1st Degree Murder and Attempted First Degree Murder.  He is known to frequent the Northwest Lakeland area.  He may be driving his blue 4-door 2001 Chevrolet (unknown model) with FL tag A40 1QA.

McElrath is described as a black male, 6 foot tall, 210.  He has been in and out of the Polk County Jail, and his prior mug shot photo can be see here and on website www.polksheriff.org.  He is to be considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS.
