Polk County Sheriff's Robbery detectives are seeking information about an attempted business robbery that occurred at the Shop & Go store located at 703 North Combee Road in Lakeland on Tuesday, January 13, 2009.

Around 6:26 p.m. that evening, an unknown male suspect wearing a white mask over his face and armed with a knife entered the store and demanded money from the register. The suspect was unable to get any money from the clerk. After the attempted robbery, the suspect fled from the scene heading northbound on foot on North Combee road, towards Weber Street.

The suspect is described as an adult male, unknown race, 6' to 6'2" tall, approximately 180-200 lbs., with a thin build, wearing a white mask, blue jeans, black gloves, and black shoes.
