Polk County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help in an Armed Robbery investigation.

At approximately 8:49 pm, Sunday, March 29, 2009, a masked male entered the Sunrise Supermarket-Convenience Store, 3035 Thornhill Road, Winter Haven, brandishing a handgun. 

He approached the counter where a witness had been standing, jumped onto the counter and told the clerk to “get down.”  The suspect then took money from the cash register, jumped back over the counter and fled southbound on foot.

Images of the suspect were captured on video surveillance and are attached to this flyer.  The suspect is described as possibly a white or Hispanic male, 5’11” to 6’0” tall, and weighing approximately 160-180 pounds.  He was wearing blue jeans, a Dallas Cowboys jacket, and gray shoes.
