Polk County Sheriff's Robbery detectives are seeking the whereabouts of James "Scooter" Little, DOB 9/13/88, whose last known address is 2626 E. Civitan Avenue in Lakeland. A warrant has been issued for Little's arrest for Armed Burglary and Armed Robbery.
On Wednesday, May 20, 2009, around 4:20 p.m., a black male suspect armed with a handgun entered the office area of the trailer located at 215 Arizona Avenue in Lakeland and pointed a handgun at the victim inside, demanding money from him. The suspect then fled from the trailer towards a dark-colored Ford Explorer or Expedition which was parked nearby. Enroute to the vehicle, the suspect pointed his gun at a second victim who was walking down Arizona Avenue and demanded money from him. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene in the SUV, driving south on Arizona towards Colonial.
Detectives received information that James Little was possibly a suspect in this case. They contacted both victims, and they both positively identified Little through a photo line-up as the suspect who robbed them at gunpoint. On May 21, 2009, detectives obtained a warrant for Little's arrest, charging him with Armed Burglary and Armed Robbery.
Little is described as a black male, 5'10", 165 lbs., with brown eyes and dreadlocks. A January 2009 mug shot is attached here. His nickname is "Scooter."
If anyone has any information on Little's whereabouts, they are urged to contact Detective Gus Aguirre at 863.534.6379 or 1.800.226.0344.
