INFORMATION SOUGHT IN RETAIL THEFT  Sought 

Polk County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect in a Retail Theft investigation.

At approximately 9:06 pm, Saturday, May 30, 2009, a black male subject entered the Dollar General Store, 2832 Recker Highway, Winter Haven, pushing a shopping cart.  While in the store the subject filled the cart with merchandise.   He also placed items in his pockets.

He then left the store without paying for the merchandise.  He was seen, pushing the cart into the parking lot and then leaving the area in a red Ford Explorer traveling east on Recker Highway.

The suspect is described as approximately 6 ft tall, wearing blue shorts, blue hat, and white shoes.
