Polk County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help in identifying a Robbery Suspect.

At approximately 4:19 am Sunday, July 5, 2009, a white male subject entered the Circle K-Shell Convenience store located at 933 West Pipkin Road, Lakeland, approached the clerk at the counter and asked for “Watermelon Blunt Wrapper,” which is cigarette wrapping paper.

As the clerk was making the sale, the suspect told her that he wanted money and for the clerk to comply in order to avoid “any problems.”  The victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money from the register.

The suspect took the money and just prior to leaving the store dropped a clear plastic baggy on the counter which contained Marijuana.

The suspect walked out of the store and fled the scene in a gray or pewter Ford Explorer.

At approximately 4:35 am, the same suspect was seen at the Circle K located at 3730 Airport Road, where he took $1.00 off the counter.

The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 18-22.  He was wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans and was approximately 130-150 pounds.

Anyone with information about this investigation is urged to contact Detective Mike Evans at 863.534.6379, or 863.534.6200.
