Polk County Sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in a Hit and Run investigation.

At approximately 4:32 am on Saturday, January 2, 2009, PCSO deputies responded to a report of a hit and run traffic crash at Rifle Range Road and Noles Lane, Wahneta. 

Upon their arrival deputies learned the victim was driving her 2006 silver Chrysler 300 north on Rifle Range Road near the intersection of Noles Lane in Wahneta, when a dark colored, four- door sedan was travelling south on Rifle Range Road.

The sedan veered into the path of the Chrysler, and as the victim attempted to avoid a head-on collision, the sedan crashed into victim’s rear driver’s side passenger door causing her vehicle to spin off the roadway.  The victim was uninjured.  The suspect vehicle, which sustained heavy front-end damage, continued traveling south.
