Polk County Sheriff's Robbery detectives are seeking information about an armed personal robbery in which a victim was shot.
Between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2010, the victim was standing at a Lynx bus stop near the 9600 block of US Hwy 192 in Davenport when he was approached by two possibly black male suspects in a silver Pontiac Grand Am. The passenger leaned out of the car and demanded money from the victim, pointing a handgun at him. When the victim attempted to flee the scene, the suspect shot the victim, hitting him in the lower back. The suspects then fled the scene.
An unidentified man saw the injured victim and gave him a ride to Celebration Hospital in Orlando. This man is described as a white male driving a champagne-colored GMC pick-up truck with custom rims. The man told the victim he worked at Disney World and that he was heading to work. He dropped the victim off at the emergency room and then left. Detectives would like to talk to this man as well, to try to gain more information about the crime.
